Sharon Torrisi, DVM

Dr. Sharon Torrisi hails from the great state of New Jersey but has
lived in Southern California for over 35 years. She graduated from
Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Following
graduation, Dr. Torrisi completed an internship in medicine and
surgery at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in NYC. Over the
years, Dr. Torrisi has worked in general practice and as an emergency
doctor. She spent several years working alongside boarded Internal
Medicine and Emergency & Critical Care specialists at a 24 hour
referral hospital in Orange County. Dr. Torrisi has an interest in
Eastern medicine and alternative therapies in veterinary care and
believes these are additional tools which support healing and
improved quality of life in our pets and ourselves.
For entertainment Dr. Torrisi attends the opera and enjoys concerts,
comedy shows and museums. She holds membership with The
American Cinematheque through which she is able to view classic
movies on the big screen. Additional interests include conservation of
our natural resources, reducing plastic waste and promoting respect,
kindness and the humane treatment of all living things.
